Critical Role's Scanlan Enter the Meat Man Concert Tee
This design was made for a specific character on the hit RPG show, Critical Role. The cast wanted a parody shirt off Metallica's Ride the Lightning album with the character's name in the iconic font and Enter the Meatman as the "album"/ tour name.
Luckily Metallica at the time offered a generator for any name to be plugged in and it would recreate it in the same font.
From there I took it into Photoshop and created a 3D reference. Ultimately the actual type logo was hand drawn and digitally painted based off the reference type.
The first pass had a smaller header but it pretty much was good to go from the start after being painted in Photoshop.
The final illustration with a more fitting typeface that was purchased specifically for the design.
The backside of the shirt had a parody list of in game cities where he would have "performed" at. This by far had been the best selling shirt Critical Role has ever had up until it was no longer printed.
